The old woman's hands trembled, the product of years of debilitating rheumatoid arthritis. She was a long-time resident of the apartment complex where my wife now works to bring kingdom transformation into that community. When my wife saw and talked to her that afternoon, she said her hands (for years) shook so badly that whenever she had to sign her name to anything, she could only sign her first name, wait 20 minutes, then sign her last name. "Well, let's just ask Jesus to heal your hands," Suzanne said. They prayed, and . . .

These three lifestyles characterize a true follower of Jesus: worship that is genuine, internal and produced by the Holy Spirit, being overwhelmed by Jesus and giving all credit to Him, and not trusting in ourselves for anything. Pretty profound words. Even more profound is the person who lives it. May it be our . . . and your aim this summer to live this way!

The Word of the Lord to Blood n Fire This Summer!

The word of the Lord received Sunday, May 23: "In My kingdom there are no vacations this summer. You are always in school; you are always in the office." Let's continue to be alert this summer to any "schooling" the Lord wants to take us through and any "office work" He has for us to do. Every day, regardless of the month or season, is a day to follow the Lord in what we see Him doing. "Make me know Your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day." (Psalm 25:4-5)

Laundry Of Love

Yep, Laundry of Love is still breaking barriers, showing the kingdom-love of the Father, and making new friends! Bring your quarters to plug a few washers and dryers, and sit awhile with the guests: last Thursday of each month, corner of Gaston and Carroll in east Dallas, 6:30-8:30 p.m. The kingdom of God is about people and is, therefore, relational. Laundry of Love is about building relationships and truly caring about people.

  •  Kingdom and Grocery Giveaway, Saturday, July 3,  10:30 a.m. @ The Compassion House (see “Find Us”). Mark and Zoe Shepherd began to hand out "stuffed potatoes" in the Park Row neighborhood over 5 years ago. Hunger was satisfied, relationships built, trust established. The kingdom of God is about relationships. Jesus talk to, walked among, and ministered to PEOPLE! The kingdom is about give-away . . . giving away the love, mercy, power, and provision of God. Come join the kingdom activity.
  • BBQ for the Poor; July 17, 11 a.m. @ The Compassion House. The BBQ has become a community event! The BBQ is where "the church" of the metroplex meets the poor. Come join the exchange!
  • Worship and prayer can accomplish many things. One of those things is warring against and pushing back the darkness. The Deep Ellum House of Prayer invites the presence of God through worship and prayer.  Warring against the darkness that is in the Deep Ellum area and in our metroplex is one of the purposes of DEHOP. Come and join worshipers, interceders, and those seeking God in music, song, prayer, silence, and joined hearts on Friday nights, 8 p.m. to midnight: 2816 Elm Street (Ravach Arts Company), Dallas, TX 75226.

 

 Our deep and sincere thanks to all the men from the Prestonwood Baptist Men's Bible Study group who did improvements to The Compassion House in June. Kudos in heaven!

 

 Praise & Requests

  • Praise: the physical healings the Lord has been doing in and around Ravach Arts Company in Deep Ellum!
  • Praise: for the purchase of two commercial air conditioning units for Ravach which were greatly needed to keep it cool during our meetings
  • Prayer for $1000 needed to INSTALL these air conditioning units on the roof of Ravach
  • Prayer: being able to raise the money to purchase, free and clear, a women's house
  • Prayer: that God would take us to another "level" or "dimension" in our worship, healing, and love for others
  • Prayer: every true, prophetic word spoken to Blood n Fire Dallas over the years would come to pass for His glory!
