William, one of our recent graduates from The Father's House Discipleship Program hasn't finished high school. Our finishing (and finishing well) The Father's House William and all of us felt it to be the right thing for him to finish his high school education. Continuing to live at The Father's House, it was mutually agreed that public school would not be a good fit for him. Debbie Morris, The Father's House mom, started to call charter schools to find William a place. As Debbie went down the list, each school said they couldn't take him, especially at mid-term. Then, God stepped in . . .

This Month: February 2010

  •  Kingdom and Grocery Giveaway, Saturday, February 6, 10:30 a.m. @ The Compassion House (see “Find Us”). How about finding something in common with our guests? In addition to knowing Jesus, they just might love their kids, care about their family, want free from issues that plague them. Come find out . . . and give away food and love.
  • BBQ for the Poor; February 20, 11 a.m. @ The Compassion House. February is also a cold month in Dallas. Our BBQ for the Poor is a wonderful opportunity to provide warmth: food, clothes, and love from a warm and loving Father. What will Father say and do this month? Come and see.
  • Deep Ellum House of Prayer is focusing on providing the best environment for worshipping our God and connecting with Him through prayer. Come and join worshippers, interceders, and those seeking God in music, song, prayer, silence, and joined hearts on Friday nights, 8 p.m. to midnight: 115 Malcolm X Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75225 (Go Deep Coffeeshop in Deep Ellum).

  •  Praise: that William (grad from The Father's House discipleship program) was admitted into a charter high school (see "God Story") to finish his education!
  • Praise: for some beef being donated to The Father's House and The Compassion House (well, He does own the cattle on a thousand hills, right?"
  • Prayer: $$$ to keep up repairs at both our discipleship houses
  • Prayer for an increase in monthly supporters for BnF Dallas!
  • Prayer: for our partnership with a new local ministry: Behind Every Door, transforming apartment communities
  • Prayer: we would see and hear the Lord so clearly as to follow Him wherever He goes in 2010!
